Become a Simplicity Parenting Coach
Through the Center for Social Sustainability, we are able to offer a course of accreditation as a Simplicity Parenting Group Leadership and Coach.  Parents, counselors, teachers and other professionals attend two weekend sessions, followed by on line learning and supervised practice leading to accreditation.

Master degree credits are available though our close relationship to Antioch University.

Simplicity Parenting
Group Leadership & Coaching Training

The Simplicity Parenting Life Coach is a deeply rewarding and much appreciated role that can have a profound impact on a family’s quality of life. The aim is to help families strengthen and re orient individual family values that can often become crowded out in the pace of contemporary life.  Emphasis will be on working with parents to help them feel successful and confident and to help them select strategies which are ‘do-able’ within the framework of their lives

In this program you will learn how to lead parents through a carefully prepared and responsive process exploring each of the four layers of Simplicity Parenting.  Participants build the skills they need to support parents through the simplifying process as they bring the vital change so many families are seeking to raise happy, secure and resilient children.

This part time, low residency program takes place in various regions throughout North America and active participation in an online learning community.  You will trained in Simplicity Parenting discussion and support group leadership after which you will convene a group in your local area.  In the second part of the program you are trained to work individually with parents with an emphasis on a home visit.  You are free to take on a limited number of clients after successfully completing this second phase and will be actively mentored and supported throughout the process.

THE PROCESS
There are two ways to approach this training.  We can come to your community or you can come to us...

We Come To You...
Part One:
Public Lecture & Workshop.
The first part of this
process typically involves Kim visiting your community to give a public lecture and workshop.  Often this is done in conjunction with your regional schools community's parent organizations.

We have an experienced Public Relations Coordinator who supports you to publicize the event on regional radio, TV and print media.

Discussion Group Facilitators Training.
"How can we take this further?" is something we hear a lot.  What we offer is an introductory training of six hours for people interested in becoming a Simplicity Parenting Coach.  We call the first part of this process Discussion Group Facilitator training.  This usually takes
place on the same day right after the the public workshop.

You might be interested in being our site visit organizer and enroller.  If so you receive a significant training fee reduction.  For information on what you may need to approach the schools CLICK HERE.

Part Two:
The Simplicity Parenting Coach.
The second part of the training is focused on training participants to work individually with parents.

Payment Plans:
If it is easier for you to spread payments over 12 months we can offer a payment plan of $97.00 for each of the two parts of the training.

Earn As You Go:
Pay for most of you training as you train!  We give you help and advice to set up your own groups.
