Laura lives in the beautiful state of Maine with her husband and two young girls. She founded The Nourished Home and provides holistic health coaching for women and families from around the world seeking greater health, fulfillment, and happiness in daily life. She received her master’s in Human Development & Family Studies from the University of Delaware and is working on the completion of her PhD in the same field. In addition, Laura received her health coach training from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
Laura has been working with and researching families over the past ten years. She has seen time and time again how the well-being of kids and adults is deeply influenced by the home environment and daily rhythm of life, family and community relationships, and access to resources, information, and the support all families need to thrive. Laura helps parents explore the multi-layered issues that impact their family’s well-being and then supports them in implementing step-by-step strategies to reach their unique goals for themselves and/or their children. Ultimately, Laura is passionate about helping parents and children achieve optimum health and feel free to be their true selves at home and out in the world!
Laura provides a truly holistic and simple approach for families seeking greater nourishment for mind, body, and spirit, ease of rhythm in daily life, and the space and time needed to more deeply connect with each other. She offers simplicity parenting group sessions for parents who want to simplify family life with the support and camaraderie of other parents who have similar goals. Being a mother of two young, spirited girls, Laura deeply appreciates the peaceful transformation that happens for families when given the support and tools to simplify; with more space and time families experience greater joy, connection, and peace in daily life. Laina has been educating parents for over ten years at Acorn Hill Waldorf Nursery and Kindergarten in Maryland and in Maine. She has a Master’s in Human Development, and 20 plus years as a Waldorf parent and educator. She offers Mothering Groups, and Simplicity Parenting Groups© in various locations in Maine. Her background is with children birth to 3, and sustainable living/parenting.
