"As
mothers, we want so much for our children...and we ask so much for
ourselves. Yet when we rush headlong through our days, we are left
scattered and exhausted, unable to luxuriate in the quiet gifts of
everyday life. We end up shortchanging the ones we love, depriving our
families and ourselves of moments of grace, intimacy, and joy. But
there is another way...in simplicity there is freedom - freedom to do
less and to enjoy more." ~Katrina Kenison

BIOGRAPHY
Raelee
has been working with families since 1996 in the field of parent
education after graduating from UNC at Chapel Hill with a Bachelors of
Arts degree in Communication Studies: Family Relationships. She gained
much of her work experience in the not-for-profit world facilitating
parent workshops. In 2006 she became a Certified Parent Coach.
Raelee's expertise is in working with overwhelmed mothers of young
children. Moms who feel the day-to-day stresses of trying to be
everything to everyone, feeling pulled and stretched while seeking
purpose and fulfillment from the mundane, but yet obvious poignant tasks
of mothering young children. Supporting moms to manage anger and yelling and
understanding how to respond to their little ones with confidence has
been her primary focus.
In 2010, Raelee became a Simplicity
Parenting group leader and parent coach. She offers monthly Simplicity
workshops in the Triangle Area in North Carolina. She also is providing
simplicity coaching to families who want a more in-depth and
personal approach.
Simplicity Parenting is not just a book: it's a Movement.
