Raelee’s Bio
Raelee has a degree in Communication Studies with a concentration in family relationships from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She began her work with families in 1996. She served as the Community Educator at Prevent Child Abuse North and traveled the state to facilitate workshops on child development and discipline without spanking. She supervised family support workers in the program Healthy Families and became the Parent Educator for the Horizons program for the OB/GYN department at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
As a mother, she believes every parent needs and deserves support. As a result of these new changing times, we need a fresh approach to family. Raelee is passionate about helping families find their own compass to navigate their journey of parenthood. Her sense of humor, confidence, and strengthening encouragement allow mothers and fathers to find more clarity, self-discipline, and contentment from their parenting experience.
As a Certified Parent Coach with the Parent Coaching Institute of Seattle Pacific University, she began working from home, providing phone coaching sessions to mothers in 2006 . Her work with parents is influenced by Waldorf education and parenting philosophies that encourage parents to follow their own intuition. Authors she promotes include Kim Payne, Naomi Aldort, Aletha Solter, Ronald Morrish, and Sharifa Oppenheimer. In 2009, she became acquainted with Kim John Payne at her Waldorf school in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She became a certified Simplicity Parenting group leader and certified Simplicity Parenting coach in 2010.
Raelee is the founder of noblemother.com; she provides Simplicity Parenting courses in the Triangle Area in North Carolina, and she is the Outreach Coordinator with the Center for Social Sustainability, responsible for social networking including blog editor, on-line training development and support, and website maintenance.
