Our Coaches
We have trained Simplicity Parenting Coaches© in the U.S. and more than seven other countries.  Our SP Coaches are professionals, counselors, therapists, coaches, teachers, and parents who have taken the work of simplicity to a deeper level.

A Simplicity Parenting Group© offered by a trained Coach meets weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly for 2-3 hours.  There is a fee for each group session or for the group course in its entirety.  The group course includes hand-outs for each session or a Handbook for the full course.  The “course” consists of 5-7 sessions offered by a Simplicity Parenting© trained or certified Coach.  Participants learn new tools of communication that are practiced each session that are applicable for use with their partner or spouse and their children, how to identify and heal soul fever, ways of creating or tweaking daily/weekly rhythm and schedules, processing and developing plans to live with less clutter and information as it fits each participant’s family.  Leaders are skillful in group process, in supporting families when changes “fail” or don’t work, and in allowing families to individualize their simplicity plans so that change and transformation are both practical and sustainable.

In a Simplicity Parenting Group© offered by a trained Coach, you will receive a Parent Handbook that provides you with a dynamic, transforming, and practical change process that supports you in imagining, designing, and evaluating simplicity goals.  The group course is about processing the material and then implementing and taking action based on what you want for your family.

What are participants saying about the Simplicity Parenting Group© ?

“Very dynamic exhanges.”

“The handouts were excellent in relaying the group experience to the co-parent.”

“I had read the book previously, but the group interactions led to a much deeper personal understanding of the material.”

“The light/dark meditation was very beneficial, even for a first time meditator.”

“The class was great.”

“This class validated a lot of things my spouse and I were already doing/thinking about.”

“The discussions and reading have helped me to become more mindful about our parenting and the way that we create our home.”

“The process of writing down weekly changes has been extremely helpful in terms of implementing the more abstract concepts in the text.”

“The series of Simplicity Parenting sessions was a great experience. When I read the book, it was like a huge sigh of relief. Finally something that really made sense of what I was trying to do but couldn’t define. Through our leader’s excellent facilitating, the book was brought to life for me. So much of what I came away with was a result of other parent’s ideas and the space our leader created for us all to share those ideas. The leader’s experience working with children also gave such valuable insights.”

“The exercises were very effective – My spouse and I were able to easily identify areas we could improve and make an achievable plan to create changes. Our family has slowed down a little, meals and toys are simpler and we’ve worked at keeping things predictable. I can feel how this creates spaces for me to connect with my children. I see positive changes in myself, I’m more relaxed (this helicopter is landing!) and that has probably been the most meaningful change for us. I have already recommended Simplicity Parenting sessions with our leader to other parents!”

“Understand how less is actually more, how silence can speak volumes and how small steps lead to big changes.”

“It was very important material for me to understand my role as a mother.  And I’m really pleased.”

“It can be a life changing experience.”

“It can make your life easier and happier.”

“This class helped me step back, remember the values that are truly important and ones that I want to strive to attain.  The support and feedback of the group and leaders motivated and empowered me.  This was a leap forward into becoming the true and present parent I’ve always wanted to be!  What a gift.”

“The 7 weeks will fly by.”

“A tiny investment, really, in the long run.”

“If you commit to all of the sessions you will come to a greater awareness and understanding of yourself, and your potential to make changes and stick to those changes.”

“The support/network makes it possible to get through the exercises and feel the victories.”

“Reading a book is not the same as working through material with your community, supporting one another.”

“The friendship and connection with others in the group is empowering and inspiring.”

“You will be amazed each week at what you can do.”

“I would tell parents this class will create a paradigm shift. A fresh perspective on how children are being affected by our society trying to ‘rush’ childhood.”

Book Studies
What is the difference between a book study group and a Simplicity Parenting Group© offered by a trained Coach?

A book study is a free discussion group organized by individuals who have read the book.  Like-minded parents come together to feel supported in their interest in the simplicity formula outlined in the book.  We offer an inexpensive Book Study Guide for anyone who would like to form a Book Study.
